WARMINSTER, PA — Still got that Christmas tree out in the yard? Well, it’s almost time for it to go away.
Christmas tree recycling is set for next week, the week of Jan. 14, Warminster Township Manager Gregg Schuster reminded residents in a Facebook post on Wednesday. Crews from J.P. Mascaro & Sons will be picking up the trees at residences on the usual day that yard waste is collected.
Residents are asked to place trees curbside on those days. Any week after next week, Christmas trees will be collected as a bulk item.
In Warminster, there’s also plenty of time to take your Christmas tree to be recycled into wood chips for Warminster Community Park. Trees may be dropped off through Jan. 31 at the park, at 11 Veterans Way.
If chip piles grow large enough, residents will be welcome to take some home. People dropping off trees are reminded to remove all decorations beforehand.
