Fire breaks out at recycling center in southeast Houston


No injuries have been reported at a large fire at a recycling plant in Houston, according to authorities.

The fire was first reported around 1 p.m. at Elephant Recycling in the 7500 block of Lawndale. Flames are roughly 20 feet high and smoke is billowing out of the facility.

It’s not yet clear how the fire started. This story will be updated.
