For the second day in a row, the City of Milwaukee’s Department of Public Works will suspend garbage and recycling collection Wednesday in preparation for snow removal.
Alternate side parking will be in effect from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday and residents are expected to park on the odd-numbered side of the street. However, the city website advises residents to obey the street signs in their particular area.
According to the city, 2,700 citations were issued due to parking violations related to snow operations on Tuesday.
The city is expecting to deploy 272 plows to focus on cleaning residential areas Wednesday night.
