Lemont Holds Spring Recycling Day


LEMONT, IL — Spring is here and that means it’s time for spring cleaning. The Lemont Environmental Commission will hold Spring Recycling Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at the Lemont Metra Station, 101 Main St.

The village said this event is intended for household recycling, not for commercial use. You will be able to recycle motor oil; dispose of documents; recycle PCs, severs, stereo and home entertainment equipment; dispose of unused and outdated prescription medications; recycle toner cartridge, printer inks, cell phones; recycle CFL light bulbs; recycle batteries; recycle bikes or bike parts. The Lions Club will also collect eye glasses and hearing aids. You can also bring non-perishable food for the Lemont food pantries.

Items NOT accepted include TVs, monitors, microwaves, and alkaline batteries.
