A lot of folks like to throw out old stuff as they start the new year, and that includes old electronics.
Fortunately, there is an opportunity to recycle those old electronics for the rest of the year at LaFortune Park.
If you’ve got any old cell phones, computers, printers or even TVs you want to get rid of, you can take them down to the park for the eWaste collection event.
Organizers say the point is to reuse resources and protect the environment.
There is a recycling fee for some larger items. Those fees include $20 for any size TV and $10 for older computer monitors.
all personal information left on a device will be deleted before it’s donated, sold or recycled.
The event will end on Dec. 31.
