Fall cleaning? Allen has you covered with upcoming recycling event


Allen residents who are looking to do some fall cleaning can dispose of any electronics, medications or paper for disposal at the the Allen Recycles Day event next month.

On Nov. 7, residents will have from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. to swing by Allen City Hall to drop of their items, according to the city. Due to COVID-19, only electronics, medications, cardboard and paper for shredding will be accepted.

Residents will need to bring a current water bill and a driver’s license with with a name and address that matches the name and address on the water bill.

Recycle goers will need to drive to 2 Butler Drive, which is located next to backside of Allen City Hall, for the event. Then city staff will unload the items from vehicles for disposal or to be recycled.
