PORTLAND, Ore. (PORTLAND TRIBUNE) — While the holidays bring plenty of merriment and joy, they also leave us with bags full of trash and recycling to deal with. Metro regional government has tips for residents looking to properly get rid of all that excess wrapping.
Things that can be recycled include paper gift bags, cardboard, plastic bottles and tubs, metal cans and newspaper.
Things that belong in the trash are bows and ribbons, tissue paper, foil wrapping paper, Styrofoam and bubble wrap, to-go cups and containers.
