MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Things are moving right along in the process of building a new single-stream recycling facility in Marquette County.
Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority Director Brad Austin provides an update on progress at the new single-stream recycling facility.
Director of the Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority Brad Austin says they’ve received about 1,200 feedback surveys from across the U.P. so far about recycling habits that will help them better run operations. He says those surveys should be collected by the end of November, and the MCSWMA will have the information analyzed by December.
Austin says those who work in the industry are invited to the U.P. Regional Recycling Meeting on Oct. 30 in Manistique to tour the U.P. Paper Mill and get an update on recycling in Upper Michigan.
