Recycling 101 With Marissa Perez-Dormitzer [TOWNSQUARE SUNDAY]


Marissa Perez-Dormitzer knows a lot about recycling.

Marissa is the Waste Reduction Manager for the Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse Management District, made up of the City of New Bedford and the Town of Dartmouth. .

Marissa is in charge of two special events coming up in October: Paper Shred Day, October 3rd at New Bedford High School, and Household Hazardous Waste Day, October 24th at the Crapo Hill Landfill.

Marissa visited Townsquare Sunday this week  and shared full details about those events, including some changes this year because of COVID-19.  She also passed on some recycling tips that you may not know.  Her interview with host Jim Phillips can be heard here:
