SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – Recyclable pickup in some city of Syracuse neighborhoods was delayed on Monday due to a high volume of workers calling out of work, according to a city spokesperson.
Residents in the Eastwood neighborhood called the NewsChannel 9 Your Stories team to let us know the recyclables hadn’t been picked up the day after the Super Bowl.
The city says they are working on plans to reduce this problem in the future.
Pickup is expected to resume as normal on Wednesday.
